Since , the event has been held on the first Sunday of November. The course of the race takes participants through a tour of New York. Across the 42, km, the runners start from the Staten Island Bridge and cross the districts of Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx. The race starts in an ancient city called Petra, from where the route leads around the city. The landscape consists of stone mountains, sand and bushes and the heat demands a lot of stamina from the participants. But the unique nature experience is definitely worth the sweat.
